Certified Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts

About Me
My journey in medicine has always been about more than just clinical outcomes; it’s about the person. Behind the patient there is a father, a mother, a sibling. Since 2003, when I began my nursing career with a degree from Endicott College, I have been driven by a simple but powerful belief: you deserve to be heard. I carried this philosophy through my Master’s at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and into my work as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (2016), but I truly saw its value during my fifteen+ years of providing care directly in patients’ homes with the VNA.
It was in those living rooms and kitchens, where life actually happens, that I saw the gaps in our healthcare system. I witnessed too many people feeling ignored or dismissed by a one-size-fits-all approach. I founded Guidance Health Now in August 2022 to change that. I’ve been that patient who wasn’t listened to, and I know the frustration of feeling like a number. That is why I am committed to offering a different experience—one that combines deep empathy with science-backed, clinical solutions where your voice is the most important one in the room.
My Personal Transformation
Like many, I’ve heard the familiar advice: “Eat less and exercise more." But it wasn’t until I found a provider who truly heard my struggle with hunger and prescribed GLP-1 medication that my life changed. I was no longer plagued by constant hunger or food obsession. Gone are the days of being hungry 24/7 or thinking about food like I've been on a deserted island for years!
The Missing Piece: Hormonal Balance
My journey didn't stop with weight loss. As I entered perimenopause, I realized that metabolic health is deeply intertwined with our hormones. I began navigating the complexities of HRT myself, and it was a revelation. Addressing my own hormonal shifts wasn't just about 'fixing a symptom'—it was about reclaiming my energy, mental clarity, and quality of life.
Beyond the Clinic
When I’m not caring for patients, my family takes center stage. With three children, our home is a bustling hub of love and laughter and the occasional swear word. LOL. We reside on a small hobby farm, where I find solace tending to my beehives and garden. (I might not grow much, but I keep trying. You would be surprised how determined a redhead can be!) Meanwhile, our trusty sheep keep the lawn in check.
Thank you for visiting my website, and I look forward to connecting with you!
