Melinda Curtin, MSN, FNP-C
Certified Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts

About Me
Since beginning my nursing journey in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Endicott College, I have been driven by a deep passion for patient care. This commitment led me to further my expertise at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where I earned my Master of Science in Nursing. I reached a proud milestone—becoming a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner after passing the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners exam in 2016.
While I gained valuable experience in the hospital setting, my true calling emerged in 2007 when I transitioned to providing care directly in patients’ homes. Supporting individuals in their healing journey within the comfort of familiar surroundings has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It was there, sitting with patients on their own couches, that I truly listened to their frustrations with a healthcare system where they felt unseen. I saw firsthand how their health deeply impacted everyone around them—their spouses, fathers, mothers, and children. Seeing them in their real lives taught me that behind every patient is a person who deserves to be heard, not rushed.
In August 2022, I founded Guidance Health Now, LLC—a platform dedicated to empowering individuals on their wellness path. My mission is to transform lives through compassionate, personalized care, education, and transparency.
My Personal Transformation
Like many, I’ve heard the familiar advice to "eat less and exercise more," as if weight management is simply a matter of willpower. But biology tells a different story. Everything shifted for me when I finally found a provider who truly listened to my struggles and understood the underlying science of metabolic health. When I began GLP-1 therapy, the constant "food noise" and intense hunger simply quieted down—it completely changed my life.
After I lost the weight, it hit me that I had been carrying the equivalent of two 50-pound bags of chicken food around with me every single day. I vividly remember that profound exhaustion, and looking back, I'm honestly not sure how I lived like that. Experiencing that transformation—and hearing stories of so many patients whose providers refused to listen or didn't want to prescribe GLP-1s—made me want to make a genuine difference. That frustration is exactly why I founded GHN. Today, I combine my 20+ years of nursing experience with the latest in GLP-1 and peptide science to help my patients navigate their own unique journeys, so they can stop just getting by and start really being able to live.

The Missing Piece:
Hormonal Balance
My journey didn't stop with weight loss. As I entered perimenopause, I realized that metabolic health is deeply intertwined with our hormones. I began navigating the complexities of HRT myself, and it was a revelation. Addressing my own hormonal shifts wasn't just about "fixing a symptom"—it was about reclaiming my energy, mental clarity, and quality of life.
Finally Living My Life
When I’m not caring for patients, my family takes center stage. With three children, our home is a bustling hub of love, laughter, and beautiful chaos. We reside on a small hobby farm, where I find solace tending to my beehives and garden. (I might not grow much, but I keep trying. You would be surprised how determined a redhead can be!) Meanwhile, our trusty sheep keep the lawn in check.
